Gas Cloud vs Black Hole

Hey, universe, what insane thing is happening in you this time? How about a giant cloud of gas being eaten up by the black hole at the center of our galaxy? Yeah, that's happening. The cloud is three times larger than Pluto's orbit, and the black hole is stretching it out "like spaghetti." We still don't know where it came from, although scientists currently think it might have come from one of the stars orbiting the black hole. We do know that because of the tidal forces of the black hole, the front of the cloud is actually moving 500 km/s faster than the tail. Just in case this wasn't mind-blowing enough
