Ouch! That has to be the lowest of lows there. I don' think the man gives a shit though. What a waste of God given talent.

terrible waste of a career. just shows that attitude can hold you back no matter how good you are.

Waste of a career?

You know you're talking about probably the second best receiver of all time, right?

I guess i'm measuring him relative to his talent. he's so naturally gifted that he could or even should have been the greatest receiver without doubt. I just think when you think of him in the future that memory will be blighted by his off field issues/ attitude as compared to someone like Rice.

Er, he's talking about the fact that his attitude (and own admittance that sometimes he just doesn't give 100% on the field) has held him back all his career. That's completely accurate.

He doesn't even have any Super Bowl rings. IMO you aren't one of the greatest until you get at least one of those.

True but at the time of retirement he owned most major NFL passing records.

The idea that you have to have a SB win to be called the greatest is crazy...It's football, a team sport, not boxing...

Yeah, probably more than any other sport, football depends on an entire team....so now that you mention it, it does seem a little odd that we judge all our athletes by the same "rings are required for greatness" standards, when it's much easier to dominate single handedly in different sports.

Larry Foote > Dick Butkus..?
Trent Dilfer > Warren Moon..?
Terrell Davis > Barry Sanders..?

Nothing beats good, sound logic...
