OK I'm an IT guy and retired military by trade but my passions are my kids (their health, welfare and education), games (fantasy baseball and board games respectively), well enough of me.....

My website hopes to fill a gap between schools education and having the neccessary funds to run good programs (without having to sell crap, junk and knicknacks to acheive those goals

Game Sanctuary

I'm using MSOfficeLive mainly becuase it free (I usually use Adobe GoLive2) and it doesnt like 3rd party webiste (Its a bitch 2 upload- no FTP available) but think I'm going to switch to another host (plus use Adobe GoLive2) becuase I absolutley hate the web design interface and lack of customizationwith MS.

That said the basic design will stay the same (unless feedback proclaims otherwise)

Currently Paypal is the payment of choice thru website

First off, if you even think of paying someone to host that page I'll come out west and step on your baby toe...When, if you get ready to switch, give me a buzz...

Now, on to the site... /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I like to do one thing at a time, and as long as you don't mind that, you'll love me... /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Plus, I think it makes it easier to go along and fix issues as they come along rather than read a bunch of stuff...At any rate...

Load Speed - The page is light, and loaded quickly...However, you have a small .bmp on the home page, and it just refused to load for me...I'd suggest turning that into a .png if you could...Other than that, the lowest time I got for a page load via fasterfox was 1.8 seconds, most if not all loaded in less than a second...

But for some reason, lots of those little small images wouldn't load right away for me...I'm going to clear my cache and try again though...I'll report back tomorrow...

Love the idea behind the site, however...

1) Microsoft Live Search is icky..
2) Why do we have a picture of a credit card on the sitemap? /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Otherwise, pretty nice..!
I personally wouldn't advise using ASP (aspx), but if it suits you, stick with it..!

I do understand my response was pretty limited, but I don't really have much to say that's already been said (I don't like surplus comments)..

I'll havta check on the .bmp (I hate bmp's) there shouldnt be any unless its an MS default pix somewhere

The small game images (need to recompress 'em- there's no auto compress -webready feature like Abobe GoLive) and the paypal buttons cant be made any smaller (its the default- period /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> )

The aspx- is the default for the MS webbuilder - since there's no FTP publish 2 website (yet) - I had BIG issues getting an Adobe GoLive2 site to upload (ie drag and drop then links have to be in separate MS site folder (BIG ASS Yuck))

Uncle Sam -- hehe -- because I'm a American and retired US Army (My companies always send care packages, offer discount for public servants and military) The American public may be ignorant (ie dont vote but bitch, some dont parent worth a shit, too many kids out of wedlock, protest becuse their grown adult son volunteered and died a hero, etc) but its the best damn country in the world bar none IMHO (not that I dont like a few others) I have lots more US and Uncle Sam graphics I'd love to put on but I'm trying not to go too overboard.

The credit card is a default image- nothing else (theme wise even was close to webstorish)... Still working on hacking the headers on each page so it goes away. CC users can still pay thru paypal (and use CC soon -justwaiting for merchant approval and nonprofit statis from IRS

I really apprecaite teh feedback... trying to make it easy for PTA's, PTO's, school groups and nonprofits to figure out.

gms, have you thought to make the site a fixed width, or optimized for 1024x768..? And do you currently run any analytic software on it..?

probably fixed width --- a lot of the schools and groups we hope to help still have older computers -- I want it dialup freindly as possible

I have a GoLive Design (with Javascript) and a Flash version made also but I'm holding off till I get some kinks out

No analytical software, yet
