Gannon? Really? A nobody who didn't go to a Pro Bowl until he had Rice and Tim Brown. He threw an NFL Super Bowl record 5 INTs to. Gannon isn't a good example.

As far as using a QB as a reason? In Minnesota, Randy Moss had Daunte Culpepper. Once Moss left, what happened to Culpepper? It's not always the QB that is great but the wideout that makes them look great.

Receivers such as Tim Brown and Isaac Bruce, who put up great numbers despite having average QBs. Those guys are first ballot HOF. I just really can't get over the wasted potential with a bad attitude.

Dude, Rich Gannon was a good QB...Maybe not great, but Good....I don't know a good quarterback who threw to shitty receivers, j...Someone has to throw and catch it, Gannon did what he was supposed to do when he had weapons, credit is due when that happens...

What happened to Culpepper was a knee injury...He was never the same QB after that...Many QB's with that same injury suffer that fate...ACL, PCL and MCL, that's 3 out of the 4 ligaments Homez...To compare, when Brady got knocked out against the Chiefs, he only had 2 tears...

Yeah, I'd say Kurt Warner, Jeff Hostetler, and Jeff George were average... :/

J, average QB's don't have 3,917 passing yard seasons...If you want an example of an average QB, see Trent Dilfer...If you're an NFL QB and you can manage a 3,000 yard season, you can sling it around a bit, period...A shitty QB..? Try Ryan Leaf, Rick Mirer, etc...

Here's a bar for ya:

Great > Good > Average > Shitty
Marino > Phil Sims > Bubby Brister > Jamarcus Russell

Sheesh j, I'm beginning to think you don't watch football at all...Don't worry though, stick with me, I'll help you out... :p

Gannon was an average QB. 4 good years out of 17 years doesn't cut it for good in my book.

Randy Moss left after the 2004 season. Daunte Culpepper tore his knee ligaments in 2005 and Moss had already been traded to the Raiders. Before he tore his knee up? He had thrown 6 TDs and 12 INTs for the year. A 1:2 TD to INT ratio isn't good. From then on he just wasn't good period.

Isaac Burce was a Ram and putting up great numbers well before Kurt Warner came along. 119 catches, almost 1800 yards receiving and 13 TDs in his 2nd season with no Kurt Warner.

Hostetler is has a career QB rating of 80. That's average to me. 90 is good. 100+ is All Pro.

Jeff George? He only had 3 good years out of 12. No, not consistent enough and average.

Trent Dilfer didn't even earn that Super Bowl ring. Ray Lewis gave it to him.

A 3,000 yard seasons doesn't guarantee greatness to me. Jon Kitna had many of those and even a couple 4,000 yard seasons under Mike Martz. He's a below average QB to me.

That's what you call "crack cocaine in your drinking water" right there my friend...Name 1 QB with a career rating of 100, and I'll make sure that players wife comes to Ohio to blow you right away...There are only 12 in the history of the game that are 90+ for a career, and one of them is Chad Pennington....According to your scale, there are no All Pro QB's...Now that can't make sense, can it..?

So, your scale is off to say the least...An 80 rating for a career puts him in an above average percentile...Now, if you're going off the jdog passer rating that isn't really dependent on numbers, please, say so...John Kitna would fall into that "good" scale...His career rating is 76.1...Jeff George...80.4...Rich Gannon 84.7...To make it plain, these guys just wasn't as bad as you suggest...You don't have only 4 good years and balance out 13 shitty ones...It's not really mathematically possible...

Career rating of 100? None but those that have hit 100 (and several times) are what I consider great.

Steve Young from 1991 until he retired (due to injuries) nearly averaged a 100 QB rating. That's 8 years in a row and what I call consistent.
