HIgh impact players that are consensus "studs" cannot be dropped, only traded.Kumicho wrote:Hey, how come you can't drop an injured player..? I gotta look @ Frank Gore holding space on my fucking roster for what reason..?
Prevents those with high waiver order from gaining a monster player because someone mistakenly dropped a first or second round pick.

And it keeps someone by throwing the league by dropping their entire roster.

Go Mc'CinderellaMan'iels. :p
I wonder if I can sell high on Wes Welker; I might also need to pawn off Moss; he's being outproduced by Percy Harvin and the other Moss (Santana) in terms of "big-playability".
I hope San Diego strikes them down off their perch and hard, if only because I want my team to win and fulfill my inane prophecy of making it to the Super Bowl.
An undefeated division rival 5 weeks into the season tends to hinder any deep playoff runs for a team, y'know?

Re: Fantasy Football 2009 [AF Elite]
Alright.
I toppled my newcomer friend this week in the league (team 4th and loooooooooooong). I totally dismantled him despite his undefeated streak, all thanks to the efforts of my elite receivers.
On a more serious note, tho; is this not the most fearsome foursome: Fitzgerald, Megatron, 'Dre Jonhson, and..... Burleson??? :laff:
The only problem my team has at this point is running backs. Not a one of them can hold onto the ball to save his life.
Potential is definitely there, but it just saps me to see each and every week as a constant, next to any of one their names a notch marked as 'FUMB'.
I also, always, never fail, start the wrong two guys. Always.

Re: Fantasy Football 2009 [AF Elite]
May I get a quick reply from you guys, 'cause I am truly itching to transact a big trade for more stable RBs, considering the name brand and dominant performances of nearly all my receivers this week.
I have found it is best to start trade talks the Sunday of, at latest thru Tuesday, in order to hash out details and minor grievances by one or both teams in terms of "transaction satisfaction".
So, I turn to you guys, with your more experience and whatnot, to evaluate what I can get in a trade based on this team:
-- In another league, ESPN-standard scoring...
Team - Palmer..? I Hardly Know Her (I took my own advice and changed my team's name yesterday)
Carson Palmer (obvious)
Philip Rivers (I might change it to next week "A Rivers Runs (Flies) Through It")
Ray Rice
& Rashard Mendenhall (I have the best waiver savvy in this league... it'll show as we get further down)
Leon Washington
*Felix Jones (dropped him just today to pick up 'Skins D/ST for fill-in; I'm confident I can get him back if need be)
Larry Fitzgerald
Calvin Johnson
Chad Ochocinco
Roddy White (foolishly left him on my bench this week..still won)
& Hines Ward
& Wes Welker
& Braylon Edwards
& Brenk Celek
Lawrence Tynes
*defense to be named later* (currently Redskins D/ST)
all "&" are waiver additions I've compiled over the past two weeks, even with a winning record throughout (I'm now 4-1 in this league).
Alright, to the point:
which receivers should I try to deal,
how fast (timeframe of "now, they're red-hot" or "later, they need seasoning to be taken seriously)
and what (whom) should I seek in return?
I need running backs, that much is obvious, but do you think I can get someone of, say, ... I can't even think of a dominant back this season.
Cedric Benson's caliber? Good floor RBs or high-upside RBs that need the right matchup (a la Chris Johnson, MJD).
Basically, can I realistically shoot for a 1st or 2nd round talent RB, if say I wanted to unload Hines Ward, Wes Welker, Braylon (much later) and maybe Ochocinco/Roddy White?

Sorry man....I don't think that'll help. I'm just in a huge funk (and at school they have a filter)
