I have no right to say anything with how much my team sucks, but how do you sit Ricky for Roy E.??? Did you just see R. Williams and think you had the better of the two?

and now that I said that just watch my bench out score my starters....

I mean, have you guys been watching the games..? Drew, I'm pretty sure you've missed quite a few with that last comment, lol...

Prior to this last game, Ricky Williams had 7 Points, 9.5 Points, and then 11 points...And that was WITH Ronnie Brown and the Wildcat...I had no reason, at least in my mind, to deduce that Ricky would have the game he had against Carolina...Every back on my team except 1 put up more points than Ricky the week before...

My team is good, but only a few of my guys perform consistently...I mean, there just isn't a science to this...I fucking sit Reggie Bush for Pierre Thomas, figuring that the Rams horrible rush defense would be favorable...Reggie Bush is all of a sudden the red zone RB, and Pierre Thomas is the schmuck of the week...22 points for Reggie...3.5 for Pierre...Vincent Jackson...Consistent high teen fantasy player...Puts up a fucking mind blowing 1.5 points last week...Of course, Sidney Rice goes and has a goddamn 200 yard night 23.5 points...I had 45 points on the bench on those 2 players alone...

And to top it off, the guys I face always has someone have a fucking career day...Chris Johnson put up fucking 40 pts..! By the way, I lost Week 10 by about 16 points...Thanks Pierre...Thanks Vincent...

You should come give these motherfuckers a pep talk...Might help..!

Logic goes out of the window pretty much with this shit, this is more like the lottery than poker...I play the percentages, read as much between the lines as I can, but the only way I can be sure to win is that we put more players in the lineup, or find a way to let us swap one player from our bench after the fact so just in case what seems to happen to me every week stings a little less...

Here's a pep talk, and one I forgot to tell you guys last week.

The story of how I beat Chris Johnson, the Goliath RB of the NFL.

Now, you may or may not know of CJ, the Titans RB, who in our league alone, while sort of a "boom or bust" player, (as evidenced by his 4 sub-10 pt games) is still one of the most feared players to see starting against you in fantasy. As of the last month, he has put up bomb numbers to the tune of 4 consecutive 100-yd games, along with 2 TD to go with 'em. Dude, I hear this guy's new nickname is "CJ 4.24" (his 40 speed). For the season, he has 4 game totals that are of at least 25 pts, ranging up to the stratospheric total of +45 pts he displayed early in week 2. And this coming week, he'll face the same team again in which he put up such an outrageous stat line.

And no kidding, I beat the dude. :cross:

This was in my CBS Sports league. The same league where I had (arguably) the worst starting drafted team of all of my 5 or 6 teams in which I actually did a live draft. I started out with 2 losses early in the season, yet, somehow, miraculously, I haven't lost since, notching a best record of 8-2. And I did this with mediocre, mostly waivered WRs, two bust 1st-rounder RBs, and Carson Palmer.

Here's how it played out: The week before, someone dropped Jay Cutler after his really good performance at home against the Cardinals, and I thought, "well why not pick him up and see if he can duplicate that performance". Claim was sent, and I actually got him, despite my 12th ranked waiver priority. Plugged him in for the Thursday slate at San Fran., and boom, 5 INT game, nets my team all of 2 points from what is supposed to be my "money" position.
I absolutely believed that one performance killed my entire team's chances at a win, and then, when I go to check on how my opponent is doing, I freakin' notice he's the owner who is touting Chris Johnson, fantasy meteorite.

Forward to Sunday: we go all out, as all of our players (save for Cutler) played last Sunday. My three saving graces were: 1) that I actually picked up Beanie Wells the same week as Cutler, and I had no other choice but to play him Sunday because Slaton was his on his bye. 2) Ladanian has been a staple of my 1st RB slot, not because he has been exceptional, it's just that he's all I've got. He proved to be a huge difference maker, along with 3) my plug-in DEF of the week, the Tennessee Titans. My regular New York Giants DEF was also on their bye, but I hadn't played them in over a month. The week before I accurately assessed what the Falcons were able to do defensively to Drew Brees on Monday Night, and thought they could manhandle the 'Skins (exact thought: "Oh! Campbell has no chance!") the following week. I was right. But, even though they were to play the Panthers the following week after two dominat defensive performanes, I was not at all confident that they could post 3-straight good performances, and coax Delhomme into his innate nature to turn the ball over--trap game. I got rid of the Falcons (smartly, as they posted a -2 pt total last Sunday), and picked up a Titans DEF primed after a win, and facing an inept offense with a recovering QB (concussed Edwards) and little consistency in the ground game.
See how it shakes out...

His team:
T. Romo QB 251 PaYd, PaTD (9), PaInt, 16 RuYd, FL 13 pts
C. Johnson RB 132 RuYd, 2 RuTD (28,1), 100 ReYd 35 pts
K. Moreno RB 97 RuYd, 7 ReYd 9 pts
P. Harvin WR 7 RuYd, 53 ReYd 5 pts
T. Holt WR 24 ReYd 2 pts
J. Maclin WR -6 RuYd, 76 ReYd, ReTD (5) 13 pts
K. Winslow TE 102 ReYd 10 pts
J. Carney K 4 XP 4 pts
Cardinals DST 20 PA, 472 YDS, 2 Int, 4 SACK 12 pts
Total 251 PaYd, PaTD (9), PaInt, 246 RuYd, 2 RuTD (28,1), 362 ReYd, ReTD (5), FL, 4 XP
20 PA, 472 YDS, 2 Int, 4 SACK
103 pts

My team:
J. Cutler QB 307 PaYd, 5 PaInt, 2 RuYd 2 stinkin' pts
L. Tomlinson RB 96 RuYd, 2 RuTD (3,20) 21 pts
B. Wells RB 85 RuYd, 2 RuTD (10,13), 32 ReYd 23 pts
D. Bowe WR 91 ReYd 9 pts
V. Jackson WR 10 ReYd all of 1 whole point
M. Sims-Walker WR 49 ReYd, ReTD (26) 10 pts
B. Celek TE 47 ReYd, ReTD (6) 10 pts
N. Kaeding K FG (29), 4 XP 7 pts
Titans DST 17 PA, 296 YDS, 2 DTD (26,31), 2 Int, 2 SACK 24 pts
Total 307 PaYd, 5 PaInt, 183 RuYd, 4 RuTD (3,20,10,13), 229 ReYd, 2 ReTD (26,6), FG (29), 4 XP
17 PA, 296 YDS, 2 DTD (26,31), 2 Int, 2 SACK
107 pts ... winner winner, Chris Johnson killer

Okay, I don't mean to brag, but this is a big event for me (at least considering how I had been faring in Sept. & Oct.)...

I haven't lost a game in fantasy for the past two weeks. That means I am 16-0 in that span, and for the entire month of November, my record is 22-2 in 8 different leagues. Where I was last month, being 8th in standings in 3 different leagues, and I am now assured playoff spots in all my leagues if the season ends today, or if I at least split the next two weeks. It's amazing. And one last bit, I am top-3 in scoring in every single league I am in (except for this one, ironically).

How you are guys faring (if you are in multiple leagues as well)? Playoffs assured? Is your lineup solid? Any noteworthy injuries that has you worried?

One last thing: I nominate Ray Rice for Fantasy MVP right now. He was big preseason sleeper everywhere, yet he was still easily available come draft time (as evidence of me drafting him 3 or 4 different times, the latest being that I drafted him around the 9th round, or pick 100). But in the first month, he was merely "good, but not great", taking a backseat to the newly-annointed TD vulture teammate, what with Willis McGahee averaging two touchdowns in every game of September. While Rice didn't get his first career TD until the third game against the Browns this season, he now has a total of 7 tally dances for the year. As of this writing, Ray Rice has never fallen below 10 ff pts in any game (PPR-scoring), he just churns out quality yards effortlessly at a 5.0 avg, and he has more catches than such players as Roddy White, TJ Houshmandzadeh, Sidney Rice, and Chad Ochocinco, just to name a few. He's a stud, and can easily be seen as top-10 pick come next year if he finishes out the final month as outstanding as he has been all season long.

What do you say?

I'd have to go with Chris Johnson as MVP. The guy is an animal and HE is almost singlehandly bring Tennessee back from the brink and an outside shot at a playoff spot. I knew he was good but this good? Really close in ability to AP...I think anyway.

And IO congrats on your success! That's from all your reading out of town newspapers sites to get the real low down.

Fantasy MVP..? Hmm, I'd be hard pressed to vote against any guy that isn't contending for the league MVP this year...The usual supsects are doing well, playing consistent...I expected Adrian Peterson to flourish with Brett Favre playing well, but its pretty safe to say I think, that he's under achieving...Still, I'm hoping that old Brett will not return, and I'll at least keep winning with Rice...

I think "good" Farve actually hurts All-Day fantasy wise. Teams will always try to stop him first, but before, they would have to just keep smashing him against 7-8-9 man fronts because of the lack of a passing game. And often 28 would bust through for a long run since there was no deep safety help. With Farve passing well, the Vikes can just pass and win games. Plus all Farve's passing TD's take away potential td's from AP. The team is much better but his stats might take a slight dip which isn't much since he's still having a monster season, it's just not what we have come to expect since he set the bar so high.

As for fantasy MVP, I'd say CJ just because he's putting up better numbers than AP right now. He gets more chances since he's a much better pass catcher. And to me, the guy who scores the most fantasy points should be the mvp, but that usually goes to qb's since they on avg. score the most points. But I'd be hard pressed to chose someone more consistent and exciting than CJ. Rice might have been just the best sleeper pick, which he was pretty close to last year too. And speaking of vultures, CJ finally got Len-Whale White to stop stealing td's (until last game), tho lots of his td's are still on pretty long plays.
