I need to get up on my Iron Man comics...I've never been a big fan, but have always thought he was one of the cooler Marvel characters...Any of you read the comics that can make a recommendation..?

see if you can get your hands on anything between issues # 170-231. that was his greatest period & it covers everything from the infamous bout with alcoholism to James Rhodes donning the armor,Stark's return with the red & silver suit all the way up to the Armor Wars where he designed the best incarnation of the red&gold (i believe there is a trade paperback on the Armor Wars). it was his best period as far as the art & writing go.

not had the pleasure yet. i'm guessing their knowledge of comics far exceeds mine as i stopped reading them regularly from about '93 onwards. with the exception of picking up a graphic novel or TPB here & there. real life kinda got in the way.
in recent months though,Wikipedia has helped me keep track of my fave characters albeit w/out the great artwork. ;)

am also lookin' forward to this movie! hope to see some kick-ass action!
in terms of comics, i haven't really been reading up on tony stark lately. but i guess that's about to change. just got a hold of links to the latest iron man comics. i'll be sharing them all with u in the comics section.
btw, if u guys have any comics request, just say so; i can find links for comics most of the time. ...unless maybe if it's an old, obscure title; but then again, i might just get lucky and still find it. :)

Looking forward to this one. I always liked Iron Man even though I never seriously collected the comic book.
