'Tis the start of this year's fantasy football league. Are you in the game?

/end corniness :p

/initializing... Any and all league talk, general news, updates, trade rumours, trash talkin' and delusional self-boasting to your heart's content, because while the NFL season is still around two months away, your fantasy mindset should be preparing to show up to camp right about now.

What do you mean? The final standings of last season, like who won, and who placed 7th overall? Or the entire discussion thread?

Wow, that's cold man... lol

Season Standings:
http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/standings?leagueId=462297

League '09 page
http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/leagueoffi ... eId=462297

but you know, one change I might suggest, for the playoffs, make the first round 1 week, and the championship 2 weeks. That way we avoid the brutal week 17 where half our rosters hardly play.

:laff: I had no idea, (at least at the time of posting, maybe subconsciously, who knows?) that Kumicho placed at 7th exactly; it was basically a .25% that I would be right.

And thanks for posting the links, ero, although they are both the exact same in that they show only this upcoming year. I wouldn't have known where to find them.

But, here are the REAL standings from 2008, http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/tools/fina ... sonid=2008
(ah, it seems that T did even worse, placing last overall if you count the playoffs/consilidation weeks :p
don't worry, though, I don't count those them either, unless I'm in the top 4 standings or actually have a shot at winning the championships in the playoff weeks).

Oh, and some advice/news that I caught on ESPN's fantasy mainpage: Derrick Mason Retires

Ravens receiver Derrick Mason surprised his team and NFL observers by announcing his retirement Monday. Mason had been adamant about a desire for a new contract -- he was in the final year of his deal -- but claimed he had been "thinking about this since the season ended," adding that "this decision has nothing to do with the contract situation; I have made enough money, more than enough money."

Calling It Quits

Derrick Mason, who retired Monday, never got the recognition of being an elite receiver, but fantasy owners will certainly miss him. So will the Ravens.

This certainly affects my draft board, because after Braylon Edwards, the only other AFC North receiver I would have considered taking after him was certainly Derrick Mason. :disappoint:

I was going to post that link too, but felt bad when I saw the standings. Plus there's a direct link from the "season standings" (but it was funny since you said 7th) to the "Final Standings" which I figured everyone would find.

I can't make the first round 1 week and then 2nd round 2 weeks. They have to be the same length...
