Did we ever get a head count on for teams?
Plus, how will the draft work since not every team has selected "keepers"?
Oh, and draft order? Inverted from regular season standings? Random?

Re: Fantasy Football 2009 [AF Elite]
I think we only have myself, yourself, AYHJA, and trashtalker at this point that are evident and vocal about their upcoming participation. Hopefully this will come to change in the following week, but we may need to be aware that we are down 4-6 members for a competitive season, with only about 3-5 weeks to catch up.
Also, just because I have been researching the heck out out of draft stock the past week, did anybody else notice that I drafted fantasy's highest commodity, DeAngelo Williams, last season, but for whatever reason, gave him up? For whomever picked him up, which I'm guessing was the person who eventually won the league, (TT), did you immediately pounce upon waivers once you saw him there, or was DeAngelo lingering on the wire a few weeks before you decided to scoop him?
I mean, I gave up Steve Smith, DeAngelo Williams, and the Baltimore Defense, which may seem bad, but I also picked up Kurt Warner in the beginning, and Matt Cassel & Pierre Thomas late (though, sadly, I never got a chance to use either of them).

Sorry guys, I've been so busy recently!
Yes, I did pick up DeAngelo Williams right away. He did not spend much time on the waivers. Kurt Warner was a huge signing for you, though
Ty, I did already send out those emails and didn't receive any responses from anyone besides the usual. I did set the draft date to Saturday the 29th, but I may need to change it. Is there a weekend that works good for any of you?

Re: Fantasy Football 2009 [AF Elite]
Alright, at least we're making progress... so we have at least 4 teams at this point, possibly 2-3 more that will recover their teams this new season, so we still need around 2-4 new teams to join, I think.
I just don't think that 12 teams is feasible this year, considering how lackluster the response has been from those other teams that participated last year, and it's been nearly a month and a half. I believe 10 teams is what to aim for, but that's being optimistic; we may have to brawl in an 8-man league minimum once again this year. I'll see if I can recruit at least one other man(woman) to join, and I'll see if I can convince a friend to try out FF for the first time.
I'll check back by the end of the week.

Re: Fantasy Football 2009 [AF Elite]
Well, like I posted before, I'm in and so is my friend Dan, who took over at mid-season (Team BS BS). He's just been lazy and didn't figure out his espn loggin/password stuff yet.
The 29th works for me, but if not most Saturdays or Sundays works too.
But where's darklighter1? He's the guy that invited me here, and I'm sure now that T. Brady is healthy again, he can enjoy football again? Maybe I'll look for that guy on the other forum where I met him.

Yeah, darklighter's been MIA for over a month now... I usually enjoy his daily comments in "Hot Pics" when he's around, but I guess that new white girlfriend of his is keeping him busy. :p
I still have no idea of how to recruit people; I'm not a good preacher of gospels it seems. I'll still be trying, though, perhaps much harder this weekend. To keep the conversation rolling, who are your keepers going to be for this season?
Mine are as follows:
Larry Fitz
A. Johnson
Megatron
I guess it's no surprise I'm riding the elite flight, seeing as when I missed my draft last year, the computer automatically drafted 6 of the top 15 WRs, and Lee Evans. (who is arguably top-15 talent, but last year, more like top 20)
I see this year having so much depth at running back that I can afford to re-shuffle my hand, but these WRs are too good to pass up.
TT, about the PPR, thanks for implementing a toned-down version of it this year, but I don't really think that also having a half point per rush is a good idea. The difference between the two is nearly 150% in favor of running backs, especially those that are pass-catchers. A great running back can obtain 12 points on 25 rushes per game, even if they never gain more than 40 total yards in the contest. But for an elite wider receiver, the most extra points they can hope for is around 5-6 on 10-12 receptions.
Hell, Adrian Peterson, over a full season can gain over 150 extra points alone on a half-point per rush. Does anyone else besides me see the discrepancy? Would it be alright to get rid of this, if enough people vote against it?
Thanks for the attentive commissionering, chief.

Re: Fantasy Football 2009 [AF Elite]
I have a friend who is interested in joining, TT.
How do I go about inviting him? Should I give you his e-mail so that you can invite him personally? (this is the only thing that's coming to mind right now)
By my count, and assessing who thus far has defintively raised their hands at participating this year, this newest team owner will bring the team count to around 6 teams, possibly 7 if darklighter1 shows up within the next few days.
Does this sound right to you guys?

How are you doing? What's your opinion on the insert your team here?
Are you upset at the newest acquisitions, or do you see them as a viable contender for the playoffs?
Did you submit your keepers to TT yet? We only got a week now to get our cheat sheets in order, ya know.
I'll be very happy to take all of your AFC South players, just saying. ;)
