Yeah, sorry IO. Already got 3 teams and that might be pushing my limits as is. Plus I'm not really a fan of the IDP add-on. I'd rather keep the defense as simple as possible.

Glad to hear we have our 8th team.

it's alright, erokero.

I've never tried a fully-intergrated IDP, PPR, or return-yardage league before, I've only been in three standard leagues; I just wanted to see how the coefficient of variation would differ in terms of the top scorers if all three categories were put into place. Looks like my hopeful league will just stagnate until next year; absolutely no takers, and Seatle CB Josh Wilson was the top scorer no matter how I configured the settings; it was weird. :?

Alright. Finally. We have a full league again. My invitee finally got his awaiting team, and through an ingenious work-around method, I requested a second invite from TT and I let him use it. Thanks for that, TT. I don't know if he's going to change the team name, though; he finds it quite funny and ironic, considering he had to wait patiently for nearly a week to claim his team.

Oh, and just ten minutes ago when I was perusing the league's settings, I noticed that it looks like I also have the ability to invite people by myself, though I don't know yet if this is to recruit actual new teams, or just second owners for my team. I think it's the latter.

And TT, the new owner of team "Semi-Pro", is he a friend of yours? You say that only you and erokero were present at the draft, but it is near-unbelievable how stacked his team is at this point, and to attribute the picks to the autodrafting, is well, outrageous. I think his team is a dangerous force, and I think he was the one team that could have most likely have benefitted from the autodraft, similar to what happened to me last year in my groovy journey to the Championships.

Draft already happened Ty.

IO, my friend was not present for the draft. He had 3 really good sleepers and then had an incredible auto-draft. But you can check the transaction logs to see when the draft was and when the league members were changed. He's just one lucky bastard

Indeed. He (Semi Pro) is projected to score an Eisenhower and a Kennedy ($1 and a half-dollar piece, ie: 150 points) this week.

Also, for someone who missed the draft by two weeks, front and back (Ty: Team Gunn), I still love his team. And that goes a long in saying something, because his team has count 'em, four total quarterbacks, on the roster.

Really looking forward to this week, I actually skipped a day in my dreams and thought today was Thursday for half the day. :laff:

Sorry to be "griping" about yet another thing, but looking over the scoring settings, I noticed that the DEF is especially toned down this year. To be more specific, it seems that every category in which an NFL defense can score a touchdown is cut in half, and now worth only 3 points. I understand that some believe that defenses can be too "powerful" and have way too many categories that can net them points, but realisticially, (well, in fantasy terms any way) the DEF position is also one of the most likely to put up negative points in any given week.

Is there an ability to vote on how the DEF scores this year before the season starts, particularly the first point on the agenda being to re-allow all defensive TDs to be worth the standard 6 points? It'd go a long way in making the position more relevant again. Also, as a reference point, the average NFL DEF only scores around 8 touchdowns a year, and that's if they had a good year. That's about the same ceiling TD production one would expect from their WR2, like a Laveranues Coles or a Reggie Bush. Just a thought.

My vote, if it deems significant, is that all DEF touchdowns be worth 6 points.

Damn man, where is the message that was posted alerting us to the draft date..? Did I miss something here..? Was there an email or something..? I know we had a keeper league, but the way I understood that, was that we had 3 guys we could keep, and then redraft everyone else..? Was that how it was supposed to go..?

Wow, are you late. Where were you when we had to vote on whether or not we should redraft the league? :p

I think you voted 'no', but the way it went down is that this year's draft was very similar to what happened last year in that everyone in the league received the notice, but it was very close to the drafting date, like say within ~10 days.

Again, it was said that only erokero85 and trashtalkr were the only ones present for the draft, and it was over in about 25 minutes. Some teams had keepers, some didn't; you still got to keep Peterson, A, and I got the top 3 receivers in the league.

It's weird how in two years playing ESPN fantasy, I have yet to participate in a live draft yet. :?

Most teams had keepers picked so you most likely got the top 3 players from your team last year.

There were 2 emails sent and tons of posts in this thread about it. Sorry that you missed it, but emails and posts were sent about it
