“I’m going to be honest, I was not surprised,” Favre said, according to sportsradiointerviews.com. “The biggest surprise to me would be that (Rodgers) didn’t do it sooner. It’s funny how people can get over time, my last year in Green Bay prior to the first game, I made the remark that this was probably the most talented team that I’ve ever played on. And of course everyone looked up and was like ‘This guy’s off his rocker.

It took him "so long" because you were in the way. He had to sit for 3 years while you kept flip flopping on retirement. By the time he could finally be a starting NFL QB it only took him 3 years to win a title. That's not long at all.
